CG Onward

Together We Make the Difference

A few days ago, we went through something that deeply affected all of us, as a city and as a community.

From the very first moment, so many people reached out with the same question: How can we help? Thanks to this incredible outpouring of support, we’ve been able to identify needs, bring efforts together, and stand by members of our community who are facing real challenges.

Today, we want to share how far we’ve come and, most importantly, how each of us can keep contributing to strengthen this network of care and support. That’s why we created CG Onward, a space on our website where our community can follow our progress and find all the information they need on this topic, all in one place.

What We’ve Accomplished So Far

Through the form the school made available, we’ve been able to identify needs and connect efforts across our community.

29
requests for support received so far, from staff, Granadino families, and alumni, covering a wide range of needs.
7
priority cases that required extra care and attention received more personalized support.
A network of solidarity
Thanks to this process, we’ve been able to match needs with people ready to help, strengthening our network of solidarity.

Ways to Help

1

Financial Donations

One of the most important ways to contribute right now is through financial donations, since these resources allow us to respond promptly to our community’s most pressing needs.

The Parents Association (PA), working together with Colegio Granadino, set up a bank account to receive these contributions:

Account Details
Cuenta de Ahorros · Bancolombia
No. 373-000-04115
A nombre de
Asociación de Padres de Familia de la Asociación Colegio Granadino
NIT: 901.272.263
Next steps
  1. Make your contribution to the account above.
  2. Send your payment confirmation to pa@granadino.edu.co so we can keep an accurate record and issue your receipt.
  3. If you need a donation certificate for tax purposes, this needs to be arranged directly with the school. Please reach out to our accounting office beforehand, and they’ll guide you through the process:

One-on-One Support

Some families have already chosen to get more personally involved with members of our community going through a difficult moment.

Here’s how it works: a family interested in helping reaches out to us, and the school connects them with a staff member, family, or alumnus who could benefit from that support.

This is how we’ve been able to build more personal, one-on-one support — rooted in solidarity, closeness, and a real sense of community.

Donation Drive

Another great way to help is by donating goods that can make a real difference for those in need.

Over the coming days, we’ll keep our donation collection point open at Colegio Granadino, accepting:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Cleaning and hygiene products
  • Bottled water
  • Pet food
  • Clothing and shoes in good condition
  • Toys
Hours
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Skills, Talents, and Expertise

We can also give back through what we know how to do. Sometimes our time, our knowledge, and our experience can be the most valuable gift we can offer.

We’re putting out a special call for:

  • Mental health professionals, to help support emotional wellbeing.
  • Anyone who can offer legal guidance.
  • Anyone who can provide technical support or other services that contribute to our community’s wellbeing.

If you’d like to put your knowledge, talents, or skills to work for our community, sign up through our Support and Needs Registration Form, letting us know how you’d like to help and what kind of support you can offer.

Support and Needs Registration Form

This form is still open for families, staff, alumni, and everyone in our community to:

  • Report a new need, or
  • Share the different ways they’d like to help.

You can also find the link in our Instagram bio. Every response helps us keep listening, keep connecting efforts, and make sure support reaches the people who need it most.

We’re Moving Forward, Together

This has been a group effort across our entire community: teachers, students, staff, and, in a  very special way, the Parent Council and the Parents Association (PA), who have stood by us and supported us every step of the way.

We know this process isn’t over, and there are still needs to be met. That’s why we’ll keep listening, keep connecting efforts, and keep working together to support the people who need it most.

This experience is a reminder that a truly strong community is one that looks out for each other, stands together, and shows up when it matters most.

Thank you for showing that together, we’re stronger. Thank you for showing that together… we make the difference.
